Great Lakes Cycling is the premier youth cycling club in Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization Mountain, Road, Cyclocross, and Gravel cycling team. Our team was started in 2014 by Coach Dave Bender, with one athlete. In the past eleven years, we have grown to a team of over eighty athletes comprised of private, public and homeschool student athletes from 3rd Grade to College.

The team competes in the Wisconsin High School League, a league of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), Wisconsin Off-Road Series (WORS), and USA Cycling events around Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. While we have humble beginnings and continue to develop, our team has multiple Wisconsin state Champions for USA cycling Wisconsin, NICA, and WORS.

Interested? Don’t worry if you are new to cycling, because with Great Lakes Cycling everyone is welcome and everyone rides. With our team you have 3 options to participate: Ride, Train, or Race! Your cycling adventure will be supported by volunteer board of directors and over 50 volunteer coaches certified and trained at various levels to include safety, risk management, and skill development.
